Watch Band Care Guide
Regular care helps preserve the appearance, comfort, and performance of your Apple Watch band. Always remove the band from the watch before deep cleaning and follow any product-specific care instructions.
General Care
- Wipe the band after exercise, outdoor activity, or exposure to sweat.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, bleach, and strong solvents.
- Allow the band to dry fully before wearing it again.
- Check connectors, clasps, screws, and links regularly for secure attachment.
Leather Straps
Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid soaking, swimming, prolonged humidity, direct heat, perfume, oil, and cleaning products. Let leather dry naturally away from direct sunlight.
Metal Bands
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth for regular cleaning. For removable surface residue, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive tools that may scratch polished or coated finishes.
Outdoor and Tactical Bands
After exposure to dust, sweat, or salt water, rinse the band with clean water when the product material allows it, then dry thoroughly. Pay special attention to grooves, connectors, and clasp areas.
Storage
Store bands in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, sharp objects, and heavy pressure. Keep leather and metal bands separated when possible to reduce scratching or color transfer.
